Re: chrome on wheels chipping

Mine rusted, never chipped. i have Mag500s on my stang. Dunno how old they are, but my car has been sitting idle in my garage for quite some time, and it gets pretty wet in there with all the condensation.
I'm sure if you whack chrome really hard it'll chip, or if it was a shitty chrome job it might chip easily. Sure if you buy those $75 a piece steel star rims from Bart or whomever they'll probably chip easy. Just get aluminum rims, get more power and no rust or chipping. Thats the way I'm goin when I change my wheels.

It depends on the quality of the wheel and what happens to it.

For sure.

I have 16" Cobra R replica's and the chrome on the inside of the wheel is flaking, but the visable outside is fine.
