Sound System - Need Advice.. Sparq?

Hey wassup guys... Need some advice.

Can anyone tell me any good things or bad things about these products? I just ordered my system today.

(2) 12" Polk/MoMo MM120 Subs ( Will build Custom Box )
(1) 6.5" Polk/MoMo Components
(1) 6x9 Polk EX3 Series

Powered By:
(1) MTX 6500D Mono Amp
(1) Alpine V12 307 4 Channel Amp

Right now im using a Sony M600 Head Unit... but I'm waiting for the new line of Alpines to come out. Heh..

The only thing i'm really "iffy" about is the MTX amp. I was looking for an Alpine 2 Channel.. but cant really find anything that will push those Subs.

Advice is appreciated..

Well if I said it all sucked what good would it do you if you already ordered it ? Hehehe...

No but everything is just fine and dandy... MTX makes some ok amps, a hell of aot better then running like a Road Gear amp from PoopBoys

Good luck, and the new Alpines are BAD ASS!

I can always change my mind and sell the MTX Amp for a profit... i got a good deal on it heheh

How about the Momo Subs and Components? I dont hear people talk about it much.... how's it match up against Kicker's and Rockfords?

Also.. any good Alpine 2 Channel amps??

To be honest there are 3 levels of speakers in my opinion...

Stock replacements...

Everything else...

Super High Quality... (Focal, MB Quart, Rainbow etc)

Thats really all there is from a business and sound standpoint. Your lower end speakers would be like stoack replacements, Pioneer, Rockford, and yes I would even classify Polk/MOMO and even Alpine in the Everything else category... not super duper top end, but not crap either!

Re: Sound System - Need Advice.. Sparq?

you used the wrong amp turn-on wire. The amp turn-on wire is blue with a white stripe, the one you used is the solid blue one. The solid blue one is in fact the automatic antenna wire and it only works when the radio is on.

Re: Sound System - Need Advice.. Sparq?

been there, done that ... easy fix

I don't always check the site everyday and you are like 8 hours ahead of me.

do you have a voltmeter ? you need to find the correct wire that comes on and stays on when the headunit is on (radio and cd/other options). Another option is to find a wire in the trunk or under the dash that has power only when the key is on and run a wire from there to the remote turn-on on the amp.
