Red face New Project...V-DUB Questions

Hey everyone. I've been reasearching the German car (forget the make and model) that has two engines and all wheel drive. I think it's and AUDI or something.

Anyway. I have a question about the REVELL VW Golf gti. how much room is there in the engine baay from the radiator to the firewall?

And what does the rear suspension/undercarriage look like?

I'm asking because I have these two Corvette ls1 engines laying around and I figured I'd make a twin engine GTi Just wanted some opionions on the subject. I'm done with getting back to basics and am ready to do something outrageous!

Yes the twin motor car was a Audi TT coupe. Can't tell you anymore about it though.

Well, if you are talking about the Revell Golf GTI (the "tuner series" one... there isnt to much space, you might squeeze in a V-8..but it would be close, you would need to fabricat a transmission tunnel, and the undercarriage is VERY simple. the suspention is extremely basic, sort of like the way Fujimi does theirs. I don't know if you have seen the Revell Datsun 510, but the undercarriage of the golf is VERY similar. Hope this could help you out a bit bud, Im actually in the process of building a gold...just so happens I have a spare NASCAR engine laying around.....

Re: Re: New Project...V-DUB Questions

MAN! That northstar one makes me wanna do it even more. I can't wait. I'm going pick up the kit tomorrow, and well, I need more muscle than two 350hp 350 chevies, so I think either two pontiac big blocks, or two ford 427's will do the trick.

I really can't wait to start this thing. Anybody got more pics like that northstar car?

Are you sure he wasn't talking about the 1200 horsepower dahlback GTi? That thing is a monster, and to add to it's coolness, it's from sweden!

I know there's a guy in the U.K. who made several golf's (1, 2, and 3) with twin engines, the mk3 had 2 supercharged 2.9L VR6.
