hey guys,,,i posted pony penis envy, and someone proved my point about being block heads and got me kicked off the forum. however i was real impressed with the other replies i got that were cool with what i said. now for the kicker, i own a mustang. HA! but i have sunk less money into my gt escort and it runs faster 8th and 1/4 mile times. my tuner buddies helped me out a lot and made me a believer. the scort weighs considerably less than my pony and has about the same size tires on it. no disrespect to anyone though, but when im driving my scort, more mustang drivers than anyone else run they're pie hole when they pull up beside me. but it pays off when i embarass the hell out of them... i just wish everyone would be more open minded to everyone else. a car is a car, its what you do to it and how you drive it. JUST HAVE FUN!!!!

First of all u shit the stick by saying that ur escort can beat mustangs. I don't drive a mustang but i have seen pleenty of stangs that can hall ass. There is no reason for ur post and no point. For u to get an escort to beat a stang u have to put down alot of cash. And if u have that cash it would be better spent on a real car like a stang or camaro. Real american muscle not on some grocery getter. If u want to be respected u got to show respect. I doubt ur car can even keep up to mine. And if it can good for u and all that says is that u just wasted more money than i did. Cause like i said before if u add all the money u spent on the car and making it as fast as a stang U could have bought a stang and it faster than ur escort.

I do know a lot of mustang guys are assholes and talk shit when their cars aint that fast, so I know what you mean. Its the same way with any car... a lot of 'ricers' talk shit when they have a cold air intake and headers on their car and think it'll keep up with a pro fuel dragster.. same goes for some mustang or camaro owners.. They just browse through a Summit catalog and pick out anything billet or chrome and slap it on. Also anything that says "Adds 15HP!!" which is complete BS. Then they add up the 10 things that "add 15hp" that they slapped on their car and think they have a 400hp car. Its the same way for any car that is cheap, so immature kids can buy them(not saying all kids are immature, I'm only 19...), that has a healthy aftermarket, like imports, 5.0s, and camaros. And then you have the big dollar cars like 'vettes that are mostly driven by pompous middle age people who don't know shit about their car except that its faster than yours.. if your car is stock. Those are my favorites to beat.. aw you just spent 60k on your LS6 and I just spanked the shit out of it with my 69 stang and looked better doin it, plus the cost was $45k less than yours! too bad. Beware of anyone who has a vintage muscle car, because of two key things:
1. you can't just pop by your local pep boys and pick up whatever part for it, it takes much more intelligence to build an old car than a new one. The newer cars have a big 'bolt on mod' market. Find a bolt on centrifugal supercharger for a '67 mustang with a 390.. there probably are kits out there, but they're not gonna be easy to find. 2. No emissions. Pretty self explanatory. At least where I live, there are pretty much no restrictions as to what I can run on my car. As long as its not a complete shitbox it'll pass inspection. No cats are a big plus.. another bonus is its easy to modify the engines on these cars, I mean like real modifications. big cams, stroker cranks, etc. Plus you could stuff a massive engine in it. Hell I could fit a 514cu(8.4liters...) big block ford in my car without too much trouble. But no need, the twin turbo'd 351c(at 5.8L) will do the job just fine. Trying to find parts for a 351c is a pain in the ass, they were only made for 4 years!('70-'74) before emissions killed them. They lived a long life in aussie though, I think from the early 70s to 83... |

I've seen many sub 11 second mustang...on streets, I have yet to see an Escort do faster than 13's.
So what if you beat a mustang or 2, your car is never gonna have the potential that a Mustang has. |

I guess when you have added 20-30 RWHP by adding an aluminum spoiler, or let's not forget the very REQUIRED stickers and japanimation all over rice burners.(they also add 20-30 RWHP), it's easy to beat the retired dude in a 94 V-6 vert....
