Whats the cheapest kit you have done

Got to thinking yesturday about what was the cheapest kit I had kicking about, found a Heller 1:43 Formula 1 Mclaren that I paid the sum of 99 pence and so I have built it today and I am quite happy with it considering the quality of the kit.
If you want to check it out its here

So what are the cheapest kits you guys have done and how did they turn out??

Re: Whats the cheapest kit you have done

Tamiya Supra was a gift from the Hobbyshop (good client)

Tamiya Mini Cooper Rally was also a gift, and I won the BMOM Rally contest with it

Would be interesting to know the most expensive kit also.
Mine is currently a Fujimi F40 1/16 at 60$Cnd
But a Ferrari 360 GT is on the way (70$ transkit + 45$ kit total 115$Cnd)

Re: Whats the cheapest kit you have done

Cheapest kit:
$16 USD celica i am waiting for it patiently
Most expensive kit:
$50 semi kit + $25 additional parts (excluding paint etc) which was converted into a dakar truck, but it still isn't completely done

The rest of mine have all been $25-42. I personally feel as though paint is the wallet killer.

My Bro-in-law gave me a half dozen or so.
A local hobby shop used to have wild sales and also sold "defective" kits for pennys on the dollar.

The most...
A Tamiya Ferrari F50 "clear-view" was almost $50 with tax at my LHS.

Re: Whats the cheapest kit you have done

The cheapest was a 6X' Dodge 330 drag car with a 426 max wedge $4.25 @LHS.
R31 GT-S 4dr free with NISMO wheels, built a while back.
I got a NASCAR for free, but I'm using it for parts.

Most expensive: I'd probably say the 454SS. 20bux on the kit, plus ass load of parts including wheels, tires, brakes, motor, EFI, 4link, new rear end, endless paintjobs that were stripped and re-started. Plus superglue. But it was all worth it!

can't remember the cheapest, I've gotten a ton for free, and for gifts, I can remember buying Revell snap kits for 4.95 like the snap 93 Camaro and Firebrid back in the day. I got some great buys tho, AMT 89 Firebird GTA MIB for 5 bucks, Johan 73 AMC AMX for $10, AMT 72 Chevy Pickup for $6, MPC 76 Chevy Mona MIB for $17, MPC 87 Dodge Daytona for 12 bucks, Tamiya 1989-1993 Toyota Celica for $10

most expensive..... 45 bucks for the Fujimi WRX, $36 for a AMT Olds Intrigue promo, $40 for an R&R Resin 1963 Dodge 330 Wagon.

Can't remember my cheapest, but I can remember my most expensive. 92-95 Honda Civic Sedan which I really don't want to post how much I paid for it....and the best part is.... I get to cut it in half to create a coupe...so if I Mess up.. it will be a very expensive mistake
