Stripping paint is covered in the Car Modelling FAQ.

Re: Help~!!!!!

the faq could answer that question. but ill be nice...go buy some castrol super clean and soak it for a bit, then the paint will rub off. make sure you wear gloves though. if you want the full story, check out the FAQ

Hang on, hang on.

Which Tamiya procucts? Tamiya acrylics, or Tamiya spraycan laquers? I suspect that it's the latter? CSC doesn't tend to work very well on laquers. It may work right now, if the paint hasn't had a chance to fully cure- but there are other options. 91% isopropyl alcohol works very well to strip Tamiya laquers. Its availible nearly everywhere in grocery or drug stores. It's really cheap, and safe to handle (apart from being flamable). The best way to use it is to find a plastic container with a cover that the body will fit into, fill it with the alcohol, and soak it overnight. I use a 1 liter container that I got filled with wonton soup from the corner Chinese takeout. (It has to have a top, because the alcohol will evaporate quickly if uncovered). An old toothbrush will help scrub off any stubborn spots. This will take off both the paint and primer, but if both are Tamiya laquer, you can't strip one and not the other.

People will also tell you that brake fluid works, but I prefer not to mess with it. If you do, make sure you dispose of it safely, in accordance to local and national laws.
