Tax Time!

Okay, I know, tax season isn't the greatest. Indeed, I'm sure most of you loathe it, but let's face it, it's time to start getting to work. So I'm curious, how many of you prepare your own taxes? Myself, my mother has graciously prepared my taxes for the past two years, but this is the last. After this, I'm on my own. Uh oh.

Taranaki: "roses are wonderful plants, but they do attract parasites...and the harder you cut them back, the stronger they return. They smell sweet, their faces are soft and pretty, and they can defend themselves with sharp thorns where neccesary....but left untended, and without support,a simple gust of wind can leave them shattered....but not forever....the roots of the rose are strong, cut the wood back, and it will always bloom again."

Gosh, thanks for the reminder!

I use tax software to file my taxes. I have to file the LONG form, so doing it by hand isn't exactly what I want to be doing...

I hire a tax consultant to take care of mine. There's just to many things that can be missed.

Gee I dont miss that! We dont file returns here anymore in New Zealand. They take it out and keep it unless you feel like filing for the basic hell of it.

I do my own. If you are a student in the U.S., go to www.irs.com or dial 1-800-tax-form and request form #970. remember the tax credit for school everyone was talking about a few years ago? Well, I forgot about it and now it's in effect. Take advantage of it.
