mod 3.8 or buy v8?

hey guys just looking for opinions...do you think i should spend money on moding my v6 (from top to bottom, rods, pistons, dual exhaust..x-pipe of course, cam...the whole 9 yards) or buy a v8 and do the conversion? i've done some reading and alot of the opinions are dont convert, just buy a stang with a v8 in it already...give me some feedback, thanx.

buy a v-8 unless you have money to throw at nothing. The performance to cash spent raito ( If there is such a thing ) is not worth it

Re: mod 3.8 or buy v8?

ok, well i bought my mustang for $350 cuz the lady was sick of fixin it and it h
ad a blown head gasket. i'll have about $500 total into the car after i have the heads reconditioned...but wut i'm looking for is the best bang for my buck, i want something fast but not super expensive (american made of course), do you think i could buy a stang w/ v8 in it for under $3000 w/ good mileage? i live in florida, oh and no rust.

Buy an 8. They respond better to mods.

Buying an 95 or earlier 4 or 6 banger to convert to V8 can be a cost cutting move if you do the work yourself. Anything newer or not doing the work yourself your better off selling the 4 or 6 to get an V8.

As far as moddding a 6 vs buying an V8 the eight always wins!
