Why, oh why did I come into this damn forum...

Now I have to go buy a model kit tomorrow. Thanks a lot! Im going to go broke now.

I guess I figure I can draw the damn things, why cant I build em?

Anyway, any suggestions on what my very first model in like 10 years should be?

I want to do something custom...

It's best to poke around the shop and see what strikes your fancy...
I get some of my best ideas that way.

Browsing the completed and in progess section of this board might give you some ideas too.

Start of with something simple like a Tamiya Skyline/ EVO/ VW to get the basic's right first.

Re: Why, oh why did I come into this damn forum...

Notice all these people are suggesting imports. Get a damn street rod. Lets see, '32 Ford, '26 Ford delivery, '36 Ford, '37 Ford, '39 Ford, '40 Ford Street Rod, '40 Mercury, '41 Willy's, '49 Merc, '53 Bel air.

Most of those are made by RM which is good to start off with. Im going to pick up a '37 Today.

Re: Why, oh why did I come into this damn forum...

I was looking around in my Dad's old model stockpile and I found one of my old ones I must have picked up at a garage sale. Its an old M325i BMW. It looks pretty sweet. Im not sure of the year, but Ill post a pic and maybe someone on here can tell me. Anyway, Im going to head up to the model store later and see if I can find anything else.

Keep the ideas coming!

I would also go with the Revell '32 Ford. You said you want something custom, and if this is your first model in 10 years I'd suggest staying away from doing much if any custom work yourself, and with the '32 you can choose a few ways to put it together, satisfying your custom itch without frustrating you away from the hobby.

Re: Why, oh why did I come into this damn forum...

That would be the product of some garage scale scavaging a while back. I just got back from the model store, and I think the Bimmer is gonna be my victim.

...welcome to debt. From now on, all of your money will be spent on boxes of plastic, and itsy bitsy bottles of toxic chemicals.

Enjoy.
