94/95 GT and 4.6 vs 5.0 weight questions..

howdy,
I am looking for a cool loud car to do some solo1/solo2 and a little bit of draging oh yeah and it needs to be loud.. .
I am wondering if its possible to get a 94/95 GT's weight down to about 3000lb's with out gutting the interior and other things my gf would hate me for.. I have heard killing weight on these cars is fairly easy...
I know I would be looking at removing allot of stuff racing seats, light rims, CF or aluminum hood(btw, yes I will paint it lol),rear seat delete, aluminum.. uhh... everything I can get..
WHat kind of weight distribution do GT's have?
What is the widest/deepest tires I can stick under the stangs front and rear.?
How much does a 4.6DOHC weigh compared to the 5.0?

Also, I have heard/read quite often: "once you start upgrading the suspenion under the mustangs you would be suprised how well they can corner.."
Are the improvements in handling that drastic on a mustang once you redo the suspenion compared to other cars? Or, are these people basicly just saying "upgrade the suspenion and it will handle better" in a more enthusiastic way..? lol

thanks.

Yes getting 3,000 with an interior is possible.

Tire size will depend on suspension modifications.

Here is the thing with Mustangs and suspension. It's that there is so much suspension modification parts out there it's limitless to what you can do with them. I suggest you go look at Maxium Motorsports and Griggs Racing websites and start researching and decide how far you want to take things.

I guess it really depends on what you want to do with the car and your wallet status. Also if you race it the class permits such modifications.
