OK tire sizes
New lister here, looking to tap into the accumulated wisdom. My 97 4runner has aftermarket 16" wheels (orginally had 15s) and I'm running 265-70R 16s, pretty worn out. A buddy gave me 4 brand new 275-70R 16s that he took off his 97 landcruiser as part of an off-road buildup. Is it OK to use these tires on my 4runner?
Thanks. |

Yeah definitely, they will only be slightly larger but nothing to worry about, those tires will be 100% fine

Thanks, now about TREs
Thanks a bunch. This will save me a ton of money.
On another note, where's the best place to get inner and outer tie rods? The last alignment I attempted at Sears left mine all torn up after the numbskull tech used all kinds of excessive force and tooling to unfreeze the adjustment nut. He failed, stripping everything in the process. Thanks for any (cheap) parts sources... Pete |
