Wheel Spin?
Hi everyone.
Sorry if this seems to be a stupid thread but do you guys leave the wheels on your cars to allow them to spin/rotate? ![]() I mean technically this is a scale model and you don't need to spin them. But it just seems so FUN to be able to roll them all over the floor right? ![]() Weeeee! |

Re: Wheel Spin?
I don't play with my models, the wheels don't need to turn.

While I prefer that they turn, I find it more important that they are all properly aligned and that they all sit on the ground.
On some models if you assemble the kit according to the instructions the wheels just flop around and look bad that way. It's often more work than it is worth to do all the modifications required to allow the wheels to turn, though it is a good idea to make it look like the wheels could turn. Then there are the times when you get a kit nearly finished and find that the wheels are just not in the right place and the only way to get the appearance you want is to glue them in a fixed location!

old MPC, AMT, and the simplier Tamiya kits (350Z, Subie WRX)have metal alxes which alow them to rotate, maybe put a little grease or Oil on them maybe there'll sping better
I prefer not to use metal axles or allow them tosping, I hafta use the metal axle setup, I'll glue them so they won't spin, I once had a build up fly of a shelf becouse of the wheels being able to spin, so I decided never again will I let the wheels spin |
