Um, I think you've got this confused with a 4G63 (Eclipse GSX, Lan Evo's). He's trying to build a 4A-GE (AE86's).

Anyway, someone posted this link in a thread awhile back with lots of 4A-GE/AE86 related pics. Could be helpful.

Re: Scratch built 4ag

Id like to know what motor you're using to represent the 4age block. It looks like you're on your way.

Re: Scratch built 4ag

It looks like the Revell B-series block, with an extension on the top. But then, I like to think that everything comes from Honda....

Looks good, man. Anyone who throws motors into curbsides is ok in my book!

Re: Re: Scratch built 4ag

hey no new updates as of yet.
thanks for the link malsheem.
to answer 86 sr5 question, i didn't find a suitable base to work of off so i just used tamiya epoxy putty for the general shape of things and carved my way down. i thought about using the b18 in revells kits but didn't like the idea of honda pieces in a toyota. the motor next to it is a 3sgte, it just kinda sits around to help me get a better feel for the scale.

there used to be a site that a guy had with a tear down of the 3 main 4a blocks g, gze and g high comp with shots of all of them completely dismantled, but i cant seem to find that site anymore.

Looking good. I have a similar project.

Anyways, the transmission used for this car goes by "T50."

*cough, cough*

For the valve cover, Fujimi's 1st gen MR2 kits have the top end of the engine, and come with the decals. I don't think the valve cover is any different between the 4AGE and the 4AGZE? It also has part of the timing cover.

Can also find some pics of racing 4AGE's here, and some really awesome (really expensive) 4AGE buildup parts too.
