Question B16B (96-00 Civic-R ) Engine SUPERCHARGER vs. TURBO

I need input on what would be the best route to take and what can the engine handle.

None of the above. If you want to boost don't use the b16b. You would have to lower the compression ratio and then it would be just like a b16a2/3. The b16b is a good motor to mod with cams, higher compression, etc.

What compression do you want to stay under to use one of the Charger MODS?

Most stay from 9.0:1 to 10.0:1 for everyday boosting. Some go even lower but it isn't necessary. 9.5:1 would be a good start.

if u want to go NA then go with b18c5 or b16b cuz its not worth it to lower the compression of those engines. With the money u use to buy that engine u could build up a ls/vtec or crvtec or even b18c1 motor for boost.
