Thanks a lot! Yeah, I've got some videos off of Kazaa (Morpheus) and they are kick ass. Now I've just got to find a cheap rear wheel drive car so I can go practice some drifting, it looks like some fun stuff.

You can't really drift with a FF, you can slide, but not drift. You've got to have a RWD to really drift.

Hey supafly1024, here's a site that I like to visit for information on Drifting. It's a pretty good site so check it out.

And 1993HondaCivic, here's the explanation on why FF's can't drift taken directly from the drifitng site I just listed.

Basically the laws of physics won't allow it. See with a rear wheel drive car power is coming from the back so that basically means that you can slide the tail out and control the movement by countering with the front wheels. With a front wheel drive both the power and countering wheels are up front so it eliminates the possibilty of drifting grouped turns. A demonstration would be taking a rwd car and finding an open parking lot. Get up to a good speed and then just yank the steering wheel back and forth and you will start fishtailing. This can not be done with a ff and and drifitng is almost like fishtailing around turns. Of course this doesn't mean that you can't take your ff and throw it around turns because you can. Dave of Slide Squad does it pretty successfully with his Civic but the fact of the matter is that it's not drifting. A term that has become pretty popularized from the Velocity BBS is ass dragging.

And here's another thing to add to what I just said. With a RWD car you can drift around multiple corners without having traction the whole time, but with FWD cars you can slide around 1 corner but that's it and then you have traction again.

Thanks for the site man, it's pretty tight. And no 93Civic, you can't truly drift with a FF car. :badass:
