Project AE86+engine x3

I'm starting on my project to do make 3 AE86s, cause parts will be going back and forth between the 3. They Include, the Takumi Trueno, Wataru Levin and Tsuchiya N2 Levin, with a different scratch built engine in each one.

1) Takumi Trueno


The hood cutted from the body.

Molded in oil pan and under engine detail cutted away.


2) Wataru Levin


Still collecting parts for this one. Here you can see the 4AGZE engine and header (to be modded for 4 cylinder).



3) Tsuchiya N2 Levin


Started on adding the over fenders. Engine is Sakatsu's Lotus 16valve 4 cylinder.

The N2 Levin is an one make race car.

Progress today on the Trueno

The engine is slowly taking shape. Oil pan is done, but you can't really see it in the picture. Still trying to figure how to line up the firewall and radiator frame.

Oh my goodness. Three AE86 projects, this is a bit overwhelming for me! I have a similar 20V Trueno planned myself.

Do you have any other pictures of the rims? If I'm correct, they look like 10-spoke wheels. Any idea of the name of rims they model?

very nice, i wish i could see better pics of the flared fenders on tsuchiyas 86 ..i looked at this thread twice and only now realized that it had flared fenders :P anyways good going w/ the lotus engine..im going to have to keep my eye on this one
