Ferrari 512S "Coda Lunga" - Le Mans 1970 - finished pics!

After 4 months of work, it's finally finished ...

Although it's a pretty basic model, I wanted to get it right and as detailed as possible (there are very few pics of the actual car that only raced half a race at Le Mans before it crashed).

I hope you enjoy the pics

That 4 months of work paid off, it looks so real. some of the shots (like the close up of the windshield and the wiper) i could swear that it was the real thing.

Excelent work!

I'm blown away. That's an amazing build! Who's kit is it... it's one of my all time favourite LM cars.

That's the Fisher Model & Pattern kit, right? Looks terrific. Anyone who looks at that car and still says the 917 was prettier is a damn liar.

Guy, you have excelled yourself. Truly beautiful car and model.
Yup, it's the Fisher 1/24 resin kit alright. Lockwired refuelling caps

I'm a damn liar!!!!!
This Ferrari is wonderful, no discuss... (and this thread does more than doing it justice!)
But to my eyes, nothing in the racing world of all times can compare a 917k!... Prettier... and faster!

Wow! Beautiful build.

This car is too pretty for a race track.

Nicely detailed all over. And wonderful photography!

Superb craftsmanship and quality. attention to detail is to die for, including the photoetched fasteners and the fuel caps and that wiper

Like some others said before me, it's the "Fisher Model and Pattern" 1/24 model, all resin (and photoetch parts).

The kit looks like this when openend :

Even the tires are resin!!!

Also I had to cut the front wheels arches open in order to correct them. The real car had cooling fans, the model hadn't...
