TheScientist's Trip to teh 2004 NYC International Auto Show (revised LOTS OF PICS)

Hey yall, I went to the 2004 New York International Auto Show. It was croweded as usual, and a couple of new stuff, not alot. I have lots of pictures, but i can't upload them because theyre too big, plus it'll take a while to upload all 75 images. Theyre 1600 by 1200 resolution, so pretty high res and BIG.

There was new stuff, like, Acura finally made a concept for a new RL, this time theyre featuring a 300 Hp Engine, and new AWD. Cadillac had a special presentation about teh XLR, which i now think is worth it's 76200 price tag, because its so innovative and ergonomic (spelling???). BMW released a new short wheelbase 760i, Mercedes debuted their McLaren SLR, and their SL65 and CL65 AMG, and CLS sedans. Infiniti introduced the new Infiniti M45 style, and much more. Ford introduced their new Mustang GTR. Lexus Introduced their new IS430, and GS430. Porsche also had their Carrera GT on show, and much more. I have mor pics that I will post when I have more time. I used Tripod's site building to upload these pics.

If you want to see all 75 pics i took, you can Instant Message me at thescientist4590 on AIM, because I compressed the file into a zip file, so if you want, just instant message me, and i'll be happy to send you the pictures I took of the 2004 New York International Auto Show.

It kinda sucked, because my camera ran out of battery .

What are you using to browse? I know it doesnt work on AOL but it works on IE for me. If you can't view the pictures, this is where I uploaded them.

Tripod won't allow the hot links unless you have an account there.

What kind of camera did you use for those pics? what size lens did it have? their not bad pics, but if it's an autofocus camera, you have to trick it to focus in the right place. the focus is on whatever is dead on in front of you, so the headlights you were pointing at came out real clear, but as you go toward the back of the car, it gets really blurry. aim more toward the hood of the car, and the entire car will come out a little more clear. that's for frontal shots of course, with auto focus u just want to aim for the center of the car in general.

Yea, I know, My camera skills aren't the best, and yea, it was a digital auto focus camera. Sorry about that, but I had to take the pictures fast otherwise people would walk right in front of me.

You should crop the pics down for us 1024x768 resolutioners. I have to scroll the window just to see the whole car.

In my thread I took the pics at 1600 but for AF I resized them to 800. I don't know what type of image editing software you have but I use Vuepro and it seems to do a pretty good job of maintaining quality and the aspect ratio.

BTW Nice pics.

Now where is that new Photojournalism forum...

I went to a boat show the other day.

They had a 450ft yacht. They claimed it went 55 knots.

Oh wait.

No they didn't. It was all a figment of some 13 year olds imagination.

If you have paint shop pro 7 the resize feature on it keeps the photograph looking pretty sharp still.
