If you are going to get a 97 DSM, don't even worry about cosmetics (as long as you get the GST or GSX, the come with better body kit from factory), you should focus on buying performance parts. If you get a AWD, and apply some good mods to it, you will be destroying every one on the streets. I suggest you go to www.roadraceengineering.com (the best!). But if you are into more lookks than go, get a GS. It just depends on what you want.:smoka:

Screw that! Learn how to drive first before you do any performance upgrades. Take some good driving courses (and I don't mean driver's ed), but definately don't go for more power. If you want some good sources on cosmetic mods then check out www.dsmtalk.com Just please don't buy any of those goddamn fake Altezza taillights!!!

hey, I also am interested in the 95-97 eclipse GSX. Only thing that worries me is crankwalk. If I did get a car and it suffered from crankwalk what kind of costs can I look at to get it fixed? And can it happen again?

From my understanding it's a pretty destructive problem. An internal combustion engine has pretty strict internal tolerances and if you get those parts moving in directions they're not supposed to it can be pretty messy. www.dsm.org has an article posted on there that goes into detail about it, but it's been a while since I've read it. It'll probably necesitate an engine rebuild/replacement more than likely and won't be cheap. A number of guys I've heard of going to an older 1G 4G63 block as it has a slightly different design and never experienced crank walk. Defintely check out that site for tons of info though
