Cool Finished - Porsche 911 Carrera Speedster

I started this one week ago today. I needed a quick build to get me in the mood to finish the Rambler wagon.

It's painted Tamiya metallic blue. The only addition to this car were the 18" RUF wheels. The rest is box stock. The dashboard is aluminum BMF. The interior colors are Tamiya neutral grey and field blue.

I really like the low slung-back windshield on this car. It makes it look fast, even sitting still.

Heres some pics. Let me know what you think!

Funny thing... I was just reading an article about the speedster.
Sweet! Quick build of a quick car!
What kit is that?

The kit is by Fujimi. The box art shows the flat hardtop speedster version. Like this

Looks good in this combo. I definitely like the "normal" tonneau more than the racing style. Did you know that when this car was sold in the US, it only came w/the wide Turbo-look body? The models are all of the Euro/rest of the world narrow body. I don't think I've ever seen a Speedster w/the narrow body in real life. They look pretty sweet w/the wide body. I remember looking at them in the local showroom...they commanded a healthy premium over sticker for several years.

Looks great. One of the few cars if seen where the metallic paint doesn't look out of scale.

Re: Finished - Porsche 911 Carrera Speedster

I love those RUF wheels, they're particularly looking good, and accurate, as A.Ruf has always prefered narrow versions to wide ones...
Interior is perfect, and the whole model looks like a Tamiya kit!
Many of us would sure like to "quick build" like you've done! (hem! toss! toss!...)
