Just wondering what I can do work on my handling. With my new heads, cam, intake, etc... I want to be able to grip and hold the curves as well as the straight strips. I've already lowered her an 1 1/2 and that took alot of the body roll out but what else will give me good performance handling wise. Oh yeah, I am talking bout a 94' gt here to be specific.

Well, I haven't tried them yet, but I've heard a lot of good things about sub frame connectors...

Well for straight line upper/lower control arms, lakewood shocks/struts, solid rubber and some stiff springs help out a lot. For cornering its different, then u want some med. rate adjustable shocks, sub frames strut tower brace, and if you really want spend some money perhaps a 4 or 5-link rear suspension.

I thought a 5 link was for the 1/4? Lakewoods are 1/4, at least all the ones I know of.

The best handleing you can get out of a Mustang is going to be subs, pan hard bar, and torque arm.

Koni yellows, not reds.

C/C plates

A good set of tires. Bang for the buck, Kumo KU15s are by far the best tire you can get for the road.

I run Koni, with a full MM suspension. The handles very well, almost as good as my GTR.

Yeah i have some koni yellows just havent put them on yet, but i'm still trying to figure out what i need for cornering control for my car

Also you can coil over to help the geomotry of the suspension.

I did about 6 months worth of research on my suspension. I know a little on the subject. If you mirror mine, it will be a cornering beast.

hey SkylineUSA, what do you think about the Tokico Illumina 5 way adjustable. They are about 100 dollars less each for both the front and rear's which is nice for me on a very very limited budget, and they seem to be getting good reviews. I know the koni's are linear rate adjustable or that like they can have almost unlimited adjustability (i helped install some on my friends miata), but i am not an autocrosser or anything so i am not sure i need this kind of precision.

Koni Sports(yellow) are awesome.... Haven't heard anything bad about Tokico.

First every mustang should have subframe connectors put on the from the secod you buy it. You will notice a nice change in handling/straight line/and everyday driving from them.

As far as what parts to get for handling some off it will depend how well you want it to handle and how much ride comfort you want to give up. As always the bottom line($$$)

If I was you I would goto MM website and Griggs Racing website and start reading and decide how far you want to go and how much you want to spend. Both sites have a plethura of information.

My coil over were around $250, it was about a year ago when I bought them. There sleeves that slide over the Konis. You have to grind down the tops of the konis to get them to fit.

I ran Tokico on my GTR, very nice. Not to hard, not too soft.

Like what GTStang mentioned go to those web sites and take a look. I went with MM because I liked they way they set up the packages, and I could install them myself, which I did

Thanks for all the info, I'll be doing some extensive research trying to find the right set up. Eventually I going to retire the stang from everyday use and develop it into a weekend ride only, and by then I'm hoping to have all most of my corners covered so I can set up some serious horsepower with a new engine...

whats the best subframe connectors to go with. I've been looking at so many different brands and was just wondering which has the best hype "so to speak".

I went with the Maximum Motorsport full-length subframes. I got a 94' GT Convertible and it really did help.
Also the customer service from MM is awsome. They provided a ton of hellp and everything, I am gonna go with MM for all my suspension needs.
