lol, you need a life my friend ..... just kidding

well the r32's run the 1/4 in the 15's plus you have a 5 speed which i think will be your huge advantage here unless you're not good on manual. Don't know what the 180sx's run but i'm sure it would be a similar time. You'll need a good launch and good shifts, other than that you should be fine. Of course you could get a little bit of boost going on, get an intake, make sure you're running light, and if you can afford it maybe an exhaust and you should have him easily without spending too much cash modifying your car. good luck.

hahaha yea wen u think i dont really have a life second soul purpose is to just simply own a GTR in my life.
but yeh thanx 4 your opinion.
the car shud probably come with an aftermarket exhaust and yeh ill up the boost a fraction.i can drive manual pretty good aswell haha.
according to a few sources the 180sx does 1/4 mile in 14.2 seconds and r32 15 flat so it shud be interesting.
from then on ill modify my car hoping to keep mine always superior.

Well I did a 15.01 with a bog standard R32 GTS-t, and have yet to see an auto 180 do simular times standard. They've generally run in the upper 15's lower 16's.
He'll have a weight advantage but you would have longer legs. Mod for Mod they would be pretty close on the open road to a point. If he converts it to manual also things will get closer though.

In my experiences, I've always had a very hard time beating 180SX's and Silvia's off the line. The get a good jump due to the lower weight and slighty higher torque of the 4 cyl. But they never stay in front long because the Skyline's inline 6 has higher top end power where it really matters.

However, mods always change things drastically, so you can never say for certain either until the time comes.

Re: standard r32 gtst vs standard auto 180sx

hell no, go for the GTR if you can. Like any other car, it'll just take some getting used to but after that you'll have so much fun in your 13second beast. Driving a GTS shouldn't make you better at driving a GTR. thats almost like me saying i'll get a v6 camaro before i get a v8 camaro so i can get used to it each car drives different and the only way you'll become a good driver is driving the actual GTR and experiencing it and getting used to it. good luck mate.
