Problems with f&f

OK, this is for a school project. What are all the things that f&f (and the second one) got wrong? I'm not talking about the fact that no self-respecting racer would ever put an underglow kit on their car, I'm talking technical problems, like the fact that in the beginning of the first one, the eclipse is shifted 5 times, making it impossibly a 6 speed. Stuff like that.

And please, let's not turn this into a flame war of lovers vs. haters. I just want a list of things they did wrong.

Actually, do to the editing... the Eclipse shifted 7 times... And they show Spilner shift twice into 3rd I believe. Kinda odd how it did that... when they only came with 5 speeds. hehe.

hidden gears that are unleashed in those beastly cars would have to watch the movie again been awhile, but I saw quite a bit.

the sad thing is theres people out there that think they portrayed the cars accurately in that movie.

how bout when he races the ferrari in his supposedly 9 second supra and it keeps up. i can't think of a ferrari that runs a 9 second 1/4 mile stock, the enzo only(ha, only) runs an 11.
i also heard that the supra was only a single turbo not twin, as was said in the movie, was actually tuned by stillen and ran somewhere in the 12's not 9's. that's just hear-say though, so if anyone can confirm...

well, the ferrari lets say it runs low 12's. he never used nitrous on the ferrari, but with the 9 second charger he used nitrous twice, and adding that the charger wouldn't have ran its 9 second best time since it hopped like that and took away from its time.

thing is its a movie, most movies are fake with some truth or possibility. so why not exagerate a little so i can make more money. in order to do that they felt they had to surpass reality so that people wouldnt say, hey i do that every weekend who cares, as apposed to putting in some fantasy in the movie to make people copy them, and they did just that.

well, the supra was a single turbo. it was a Turbonetice T-66 turbo. incase anyone doesnt know, when you want to get some seriouse power(ok when i say seriouse power i know that to 4-500 HP you can get with a twin turbo supra is still seriouse but i mean more like 650-1200HP) you convert to running a big single instead of twin turbos. if you want more info on the actual car go here... http://www.suprastore.com/fasandfurhol.html

in the first race -

after the race started, they were already driving for like 10 or 15 seconds.
you get a very small peek at the gauges where you can see that this blonde guy in the skyline is going like 35 mph or so - not very good after over 10 secs - plus, the tacho ends at 110 mph (180 km/h in the movie)! no joke.
and the redline is at 6000 rpms or so...

what bothers me most are the other guys, the spectators.
they totally freak out - and they're like a hundred guys or so.

okay...in F&F...how about the first race, where the 4 guys are supposed to be racing 1/4 of a mile, yet the race magically lasts for 2 1/2 minutes? Oh yeah, and the fact that they got up to 160 mph in that SUPPOSED 1/4 mile is a little bogus too.....plus, the last scene where they try to hijack the last truck in broad daylight and it all goes terribly wrong, leti's back windshield gets shot out, but a couple of frames later, it's in perfect condition again....crazy stuff.

ok, on the fnf 2 DVD there is a "prelude" to the second movie that shows you how the blonde guy gets from LA to Miami. This is where the funniest thing in both movies happens. ahem... so blonde dude is being hunted by the cops and his blazzin fast red 3000GT gets confiscated while he is in a hotel. So this pretty young thing in a convertable drops him off at a po-dunk used car shop in the middle of arizona or somthing. While the young asian dude tries to sell him a crap car he spots an old dirty car without a price tag. It just happens to be a GT-R. yep. Thats wher I got mine. lol.

You don't double clutch in a 1/4...there's no downshifting

You don't drive 100mph backwards on the freeway

Every race is ridiculous, the cars are never evenly stocked, regardless Paul Walker's cars always win.

Noone would laugh off a practical joke of raising a bridge in the middle of a race...Ludacris would have gotten killed for sh!t like that...providing any of the racers actually lived
