2jz swap into lexus sc300

I have a lexus sc300 that is getting up there in miles and was wondering if the engine in the sc300 could be swaped with a supra 2jz.
the sc300's are automatics so it would have to be a full swap, so i would have to put in the 6 speed manual. How would i know whether this is possible, and how difficult it would be to do. Thanks for any help you guys can give me.

there were a few sc's with a 5sp tranny, there was an article on one in a mag last year, i'll go see if i can find it and give you some more info

There there are few but i like the idea of the 6 speed tranny. But if you find that article send it my way. thanks.

There is a Lexus 300 with a 2jz that I know of, he swapped a 2jzgte motor in it but his race car has it also built to hell and back with a T-88 on it. It can be done but I would highly reccomending taking your car to somewhere like Titan Motorsports if you live on the east coast, if your closer or on the west coast, look up Craig Paisley's shop, if anyone can do it over there, he can.

Thank you very much. For all your posts. The website you sent me was VERY helpful, and very inspiring. It looks like i'm going to undertake this project. I'll let you know how it goes. If any one has any good websites to find used engines beside ebay. I'd love to have them to find this 2jz-gte that i need to purchase. Thanks.

your best bet is to probably buy the donor car, don't know what else you'll need besides the motor, wiring harness, etc.
