2JZ-GTE motor into a lexus sc300

i just purchased a 93 sc300 and i can get my hands on a 2JZ-GTE (twin turbo supra engine) http://www.jdmenginedepot.com/catalo...products_id/29
now my question is has anyone on this site done this swap? if so any advise would be helpfull. also it says it comes with an automatic tranny and that would be hell because i am for stick all the way if anyone knows where i can get this motor with a 5sp tranny that would help as well (like from a diff site)

Re: 2JZ-GTE motor into a lexus sc300

yo baker...

thats perfectly possible to do such an engine swap...a friend did the same on a IS 200 and ran like a dream...\
to make ur SC 300 able to cope with the 2JZ-GTE's power...best thing is to
get the limited slip diff and get ur hands on a supra's rear axle(more suited to power and better handling!!)u can get a 6/5speed tranny but make sure to remap ur ECU...do that and u have urself a kickass ride!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

cheers......

Re: 2JZ-GTE motor into a lexus sc300

I wouldn't recommend a 5 spd, the 5 spd tranny came in a non turbo supra, it will hold the power up until about 400 HP, after that it is just a matter of time before it goes. Where as a 6spd tranny will take all the abuse and power you can throw at it, yes I have done the swap, and yes I will cater to questions, but only after you have done some research yourself
