no it's not easy, please don't try it yourself. If you do try it, I hope you have enough money to buy a new trunk lid.

Re: shaving the reverse lights

lol ... yeah bro..dont just weld in a piece of sheet metal and then fill in the worked area with filler...do you know what gauge metal to use ? what kind of weld to bead ? its not as simple as it sounds and i wouldnt reccomend you doing it being that you sound like you dont have any body experience !!! im not tryin to be a dick, I just dont want you to destroy your trunk ... and besides wtf are you gonna use for reverse lights after the fact

in a few days (in fact it goes in the shop today!) i will be starting the process of putting my body kit, wing and fenders on and shaving the inner tails so i will post pics of the before during and after. should be done in a few weeks just look for the post! Good luck with yours if you decide to do it!

im not that stupid! I love my car i wouldn't hurt her like that! My friend is a realy good welder so he is going to weld a piece of sheet metal there and sand it down, and paint it. Great with body work and painting too. I just fitted the kit on my car last night and its lookin sick! Ill post pics when finished!
