Can someone inform me on how to get to the rear 6 x 9s? The seat doe not release from the inside trunk and I don't know how and if I'm supposed to take the bottom seat out. Also if inyone knows what size speakers go in the front doors? Are they 4x6 or 6.5 ? Thanks for your help!

Re: 2000 Grand Prix GT Rear Speakers
First, you have to pull up on a couple rings that are on the sides of the bottom part of the rear seat. Then you pull out the bottom part of the seat. Then, there are four bolts that hold the seatback and the seatbelts down. Remove the nuts from these bolts and the seatback will be free at the bottom. Then you have to pop it out, I believe there are some metal hooks on the seatback that go through the steel into the trunk space. Once you've removed the seat, all you need to do is pull out the shelf, which has the speaker grills on it. The whole thing took me maybe 45 minutes. While I was at it, I got a dustbuster and cleaned out all the crap and slime that had collected under the seat from the previous owner.
