2000 Grand Prix - Rear View Mirror

I have the auto dimming rear view mirror and it has developed what appears to be a large bubble of fluid on the mirror. The bubble moves depending on which way the mirror is tilted.
Is there a way to get rid of this or does the mirror need to be replaced?
If replacement is necessary, is this something a novice could do or do I need a pro?
Thanks for any help anyone can give.

Re: 2000 Grand Prix - Rear View Mirror

I just replaced my auto dimmer. There is nothing you can do with them. As a matter of fact, the liguid in it ran out on to my floor. Then anything you see in it that white looks "blue gray".
Don't need any tools to replace. Take clip that covers wires off. Unplug wire. Left mirror up, with some pressure. Watch that clip on new mirror is on right. Slide new mirrow on, and down. Replace wire cover. OH, plug in wire. Your done. GM wants $168.00 for mirror. Bought mine off a guy from Michigan, for $30.00 plus shipping. Send me a PM and I will give you his email address. He had the one with "On Star" on it. I didn't want that one.
Good luck
