I want to swap my 2.0l with a 1.8T, but I don't know where to start.

ok i have done alot of research in to this be cause i hope one day to have enough money to put a 1.8t in my 94 jetta gls.... yes the tranny does bolt right up the only thing u need to really change is the front to motor mounts for the 2.0 to the 1.8t motor mounts.... any other questions let me know

Why not just but a Nuespeed turbo charger on ur 2.0, they're only about $2500, much less then a swap, plus no install headaches.

i agree with the nuespeed supercharger, the 1.8T is known to have more probs than the gls, peace

I swaped a 2001 1.8t into my 96 jetta. it all bolts right in no problem. the wiring sucks and I would sugest checking out VWvortex.com theres alot of guys whove done the swap and are very knolegable
