Angry 240 V6 Poroject. Another sad whiny story.

Hey, kinda need some HELP, I aquired a 95' 240sx Aug last year from the local salvage yard, it had front damage not extending to the frame, so easily reapairable. Engine, crank, and tranny stripped, really didn't care, I wanted to swap in V6, (you will find out which when I am done, hint: not VG30). Here is my sad story (saw how hard you guys were on loosers, hate to be one but can't help it). Before getting my project car, my DL was suspended, had a wreck, raped by the Ins co. with NO VASELINE!!!!! Made nothing above the medical bills except for my 240sx. After getting the car I was then Laid off, forced me to drop sch for now, still can't find a job especially when dealers are asking for ASE cert, and I ain't finished sch yet, and with a slight case of ADD I am not compatible for too many jobs especially office jobs. So now I live at home at 22 (talk about being a BUM), work out my home garage doing anything that comes my way, axles, brakes, tune ups etc. Aquired many tools a compressor, etc (so if you want some routine maintenance, hit me up, I will be building speaker boxes with fiber glass once I perfect my technique). All this shit brings me to this, I am looking for these parts:
- 240sx front facia, 95 up (lights, mounting brackets etc)
- T-56 tranny or nissan six speed,
- LSD from, SE, J30, 300ZX, or Q45,
Can anyone tell me if the fuel pump off a V8 Q45 will fit my 240? I have cheap access to one, I know of the ZX but the place is expensive (me not having a job and all), and would rather have one that can feed a high revving V6.
Hey can you swap just the front spindles from an SE into an SX without fooling with the hub??? I have aquired the anonymous V6 motor, wiring harness and ECU, 300ZX aluminum calipers, front and back, and the rear hubs.
Last but not least, I swapped the rear hub from a Q45 which went without a snitch, took about 2 hours for both, since I ain't got a job, I was going to use the Q45 struts but they sit about 45 degrees off, I think this is cause they are mounted in the trunk, does anyone know if the stock 300ZX will fit? I just wan't the car running before Nopi, I need to look for a sponsor, and then I will get modified coilovers.

Re: 240 V6 Poroject. Another sad whiny story.

Congrats, been using that user name everywhere for the last....hmm since I got my SHO in 00'. Damn, should have seen it to be a dead give away. Anyway, know anyone who has done an S15 conv or had a 300ZX brake upgrade and got hit in the back instead of the front like every car I see. I want to fininsh this project ASAP, and I need the front facia, I have access to a 5-speed, which will be alot easier, but I'm trying to get a sponsor, and a T-56 will about prove I know what I am doing. Most yard around my way are $$$$$

dude i have ADHD and am a certified real estate agent.

SHO engine is going to be realy hard to stick in there, but if you do manage to make it work that would be sick.

yes it is. Would not be the first time I have seen a FWD engine go into a RWD car, I see that a lot in tuned AE86's using supercharged AW11 mr2 motors called the 4agze or some chyt. Fuck toyota's naming system...

I like the SHO engine, but I think I like the 3.8 in the other Taurus more.

reason displacement, Single cam, 5.0L 302 ford design.

Those 3.8's make INSANE torque, check out the one in a Supercoupe, stock I believe they produce 375lbs of torque. Thats a 3.8L rwd with a supercharger...that will burn a SHO........

3.0 yamaha is complex motor and a DOHC design, It has many parts compared to other engines and requires a tight maintenance schedule. The Valvetrain on it requries some checking and periodic refurbishment.

Get a 3.8 from a supercoupe and put that into a 240sx, that would rock and I've never heard anyone even ask about that. The 3.8 is basically a 5.0 with 2 cylinders cut off the block. They make pistons, rods, crankshafts, valvetrain springs, lifters, rockers, cams...you can build the motor up pretty good. If you built the motor up I would say it could make about 700hp with an upgraded supercharger system(I/H/E/intercooler/ecu)

The Yamaha Motors Are Bad.... They Make A Rwd Tranny For That Same Motor. I Just Though He Was Going To Convert The 240 To Fwd. The 3.ol Yamaha Motor Is Also Used In The Circle Track Mini Sprints.

Re: 240 V6 Poroject. Another sad whiny story.

I've been gathering info on the SHO when I got it, the engine was actually built for a project when ford wanted to enter the exotic market and race against porches and ferraris, but then they scraped it. But since they already signed the contract, they had no other car to put the engine, so they put it in the Taurus. They received the engines with a power rating of over 300hp, but since the Stang by tradition had to be a V8, they changed the cams, and did something to the exhaust, put restrictive butterflys on the short runners, and timing to turn the power down. The 3.0 was putting out more than the cobra and would have made the SHO faster than the cobras, and they didn't want that, The 96 V8 SHOs' were built by ford, and they can only produce 235hp 15hp more than the V6, and it also lost to the 94' V6 MTX SHO by a second on take off and 1/4mile, Much respect to Yamaha, and Japanese Enginuity.
They have SHOs' putting out 290-300 off the block, and one I've heard a couple with 450hp to the wheels (supercharged). The SHOs' came with forged pistons stock, redline at 7000rpm, and you can take them to I think 8500rpm and more if you have the $$$$.
The problem with SHO, the parts are $$$$$ and getting someone who knows how to work them is also $$$$, Check shotimes.com or shoshop.com, and you will see. And lastly, turning a front wheel block to rear wheel ain't hard, I've seen it done, even on SHOs' I just wanted a T-56 instead of the tried and proven ways of the T-5. I have two blocks, just need a sponsor or $$$$$ to rebuild the second to the next level, but for now, I have to install the first one and run around looking for a sponsor. Hope I make it to NOPI this year, otherwise I am screwed till Next.

Re: 240 V6 Poroject. Another sad whiny story.

Sho w/cams and bigger butterflies and its dual runners can give me 260hp no psi. Check out "shotimes.com" and tell me if that ain't one of the pretiest engine you'v ever seen. Besides, byt the time I get $$$$ to buy the RB, SHO motor will be in and running, I'm jobless, so I am using what I have.
RB26DETT in a 240 is the bomb!!!!!!!!!!!, but I ain't got $6000 for the motor.
