input on 40/50 series deltaflow flowmasters

Hi ya'll, did a little research on the flowmaster series 40 delta flow and series 50 delta flow. any one see any problem with a 3'' in and dual 2.25'' outs exiting out the side in front of the rear tire with the nascar style super truck tips; on a '96 silverado extended cab short bed? I'm just pumping a 305 v8... any other input would be appreciated if ya'll have any experience with these 2. I'm making a decission by friday night.
Thanks.

Steve

Re: input on 40/50 series deltaflow flowmasters

I just had the Flowmaster series 40 1 in 2 out put on my 03 silverado. I love the sound, look no further for an exhaust system.

I would recomend the 40 series. I had one on my '95 extended cab 5.7L, sounded great. I cut the existing pipe so that I could put a 90 degree elbow right on the muffler and then a resignator tip on that. I too exited it right in front of the rear wheel. Sounded way better than when it goes through all that pipe and comes out the back. It wasn't an exhaust note that was soo much heard as felt. I ran it with just the muffler for a little while since the night that we put it on was after we got done working on the dune buggy and it was very late at night. Sounded a lot louder without the bend and tip, but you could feel it in the floor boards. After I put on the bend and tip I just loved it, got a new HD crew cab now but I still miss that truck. Put on a 40 series and exit right away and I guaratee that you won't be disappointed.

Re: input on 40/50 series deltaflow flowmasters

I have a single inlet 3" dual 2.5" outlet 40 series coming straight out the back and it gives just the right amount of sound when you need it. I don't like the interior resonance it gives sometimes.
