Re: ford 250 V10
What exactly went bad? knocking sounds or what? the V10's are very good engines, people are seeing 250+K out of these engine. The main thing is change oil and all filters regularly. People do not do this. Also stay away from fram filters. The have poor canister construction and the collaps leaving you will no oil pressure, for they do not bypass like they are supposed to. Then you have people who think it is ok to change their oil every 10K miles with dino.

Re: ford 250 V10
We've not seen any problems with the modular engines, unless people run thick oil (which kills the cams). Ford specs 5W-30, many people think 10W40 or 15W-40 is ok to use, it's NOT.
