Talking head gasket replacement

is there an easier way to remove the head and replace the head gasket than the way the haynes book states it is very complicated their way.
all response is appreciated thanks apical

There's not really an easier way, but there is a missprint on the torque spec. for the head bolts.
Unless you replace them with new, all you have to do is, 1st make sure the holes are completely clean(blow them out with a air gun) 2nd apply light oil to the bolts 3rd finger tighten them in 4th torque them to 23 ft. lbs. 5th retorque them to 33 ft. lbs. 6th put the torque wrench on the bolts, length ways of the head (at 3 o'clock)and turn the wrench 90 degrees ( 6 o'clock) and you're done.
