1994 Accord Lighting Issues

Hello ladies n gents. I've been looking around for some sort of forum or something to discuss cars with. This seems like an interesting place to start as any. Its my first post so please be gentle with me.

Anyway, here's my issue.

Due to my accord being in an accident, and messed up both headlights, I decided it would be cheaper to buy "projector" style lights rather than factory, as it seems factory lights dont come cheap. Anyway, I didnt do much research on the subject and just bought them on ebay. They look great but as I have found out the hard way that they suck in visibility. Is there anything I can do to make them brighter but not so much that I blind oncoming traffic, but just better road visibility? Also I dont know what the technique is to align lights, if anyone would offer their expertise on this I would appreciate it.

Here is a picture of my accord:

Also a place to find replacement bulbs for projector lights would be appreciated. I know they take H3, but does anyone make any that are brighter/better visibility? Sylvania perhaps?

Thanks for your time

Oh, also... my AC Compressor isnt working. Is there some sort of diagnostic i can do or check it or something without taking it to a shop?

I don't know about anyone else, but "projector lights" is a new one on me.
Maybe this is why noone is responding to you. Do you just mean the bulbs? If so try the "Silverstar" H3 bulbs. Don't cost much more than a standard bulb. As for your a/c, I would suggest that you see a mechanic for that stuff. First you have to locate the compressor.
You can look for the obvious stuff such as a broken drive belt that drives the compressor..

I'm talking about projector headlights, as opposed to, say, factory style headlights.

Lights like that.

Also I know where the AC Compressor is. The belt is fine.

So thats what projectors are huh?
Pretty pricey stuff. I think I will stick to the silverstars. HA!
Good luck in your search. Maybe someone else who is into performance on hondas can help.

I dont think you understand. Projectors are the actual headlight assembly. Silverstars are bulbs.

If they are the lights in the picture then i used to have the same ones..."three beam" the third being a park light with a glow ring around it in the center of the headlight? Mine sucked too...i ended up buying some one piece headlights but before i did i just unhooked the low beams and adjusted the high beams a little lower and just used those. H3 bulbs are just not that bright...their basically just fog light bulbs.
