I own a 1987 B-250 ram van and when I use the brakes (always) or sometimes the gas pedal (not always) I hear a clunk under the front end. any ideas????

Check the front ball joints for wear and loosness. You might have to take it to a front end shop. Also you might examine the engine mounts. But if the ball joints are that loose, its probably a safety issue so don't let it go too long.

This what that clunk is normally:
Sway bar bushings and Sway bar mounting bushings. Steering coupler (12 bucks in parts) Centerlink (the long piece that connects the tie rods (50 bucks) tie rod end(s) Broken shock(s) Motor mounts (left side one usually) Any one or all of them! Good luck, Slantsixness
