troubles wiring a cd player
i have a 93 camry and i bought a pioneer cd player yesterday, i took out the radio and evertyihg, and now im to the point of wiring in the cd player. i've put car cd palyers in before, but im havin troubles with this one. i hooked up the red yellow and black cables and got power, sort of , but it seems to be sucking up a lot of power. it also seems that the black wire (i think its the ground wire) coming from the car is really thin, also i cant get any of the speakers to work with it. anyones help is appreciated.

Check to see if you have a toyota "amp" under the passenger seat. The premium stock stereo includes an amp under the passenger seat (at least for my 92 Camry). That could possibly add some complications. It's kind of a long shot, but I thought I would mention it.

Re: troubles wiring a cd player
You can try this website for a wiring diagram www.installdr.com Also there are connectors available that plug in to the factory harness and the other end is wired to the radio.
