Air Bag Light

When it was around 0 degrees out my air bag light would come on but when it got a little warmer it stayed out. No it's in the 60's and it has started to stay on again. Is there any way I can trouble shoot the system and find the problem. I have an OBD-II scanner, will that help?

does the light flash? if it does it's does it's trying to tell you a code. unless you have a very good scanner like a snap-on it won't help you with air bag or abs codes.

It flashes for a few seconds every time I start up and then stays on.

I have a 1996 Tahoe same problem when cold the light stays on, warms up(outside not motor) it goes out sometimes I need to restart the car sometimes it goes out driving down the road.
Any info would help Thank you
