headers

Can some one tell which would be better? Black painted headers or stainless steel headers. The paint will eventually come off painted ones, but the stainless steel ones they will change color.

Re: headers

Between those two the stainless of course
The paint in the pacesetter ones (if that is the one) burns off in less than an hour, then it can rust. Stainless will turn colors but thats it.

If you worring about looks that much go with a ceramic coated header. They will look nice and also keep some extra heat in. You could also paint the header with high heat paint. I think I am going to end up doing that.

pacesetter sucks ass! my buddy had his header come apart twice on him! when he first got it the tubes shrunk from the flange that bolts to the head and separated while he was driving it... then he sent that one back and they sent him a new one... and that one 3 out of the 4 tubes cracked where they all come into one! i wouldnt buy a pacesetter header ever! and just like ashah said it rusted really fast!

Re: headers

Just to add some more... The pacesetter headers also has a fitment issue, where it hits the side of the thermostat (or something like that) so you have to grind part of the header down.
Definitely not work it, just to save a couple of bucks.
