Acutally, many of those Hondas and toyotas can get me. I have an Auto. P11's are way too heavy. I've been beaten by a Ford Escort ZX2, a Lancer gave me a good run, I'm sure a civic with a couple mods would get me too. G20's shouldn't be raced unless they have turbo, otherwise you have to put alot of work just to get 15's in the 1/4.

Basically, our horsepower to weight ratio sucks like sh*t. Our same engine was put into a car that is basically the size of a civic. Which is a sentra se-r. Its a great engine for a Sentra, but not a G20. A sentra probably weighs like 2500-2600lbs. A P11 weighs 3100lbs. You do the math.

civic ex MT can easily whip our AT asses. bring a Si and talk about embarrassment. bring a tegR and they won't even suspect that you were trying to race him.
but then again, my p11 looks all dressedup and rides well...it aint no cheezy ecnobox lookin car that's for sure.

Don't kill FABIUS enthusiasm
![]() Sure the G20 is a pretty heavy car, but if you go turbo, you can for sure wip some civic ass. ![]() The SR20DE can REALLY hold back some serious bar without taking damage, so if you got the money, then the G20 defenitely is a good choice. ![]() Btw welcome to the forum.....

You AT G owners are making the MT's look bad. Although I've lightened the car a little (hopefully further with the cf hood). With the mods I have, I've beaten 5 Si's lost to 1, beaten many non-vtec Integras and 3 of the 5 GS-R's that I've raced. I've beaten 1 badly driven GS-T and all the non-turbo Eclipses I've raced. A couple badly driven Preludes. One car that always gets me is the GT-S. Toyota owners really know how to drive their cars. Any peasly Civic is no competiton. I plan to get a small shot of N20. That'll shot me up to Type-R hunting. Yeah N20 vs. NA Type-R, but so what?
Hondas are weak if driven uncorrectly. On top of that, they have no torque, a high Vtec turn over with a quick revving engine (quick revs means quick drops). Most people I race let their engine drop out of their Vtec range between shifts, this mother of all f-ups when driving a Honda. The only advantage is the light curb weight. The lightest car normally raced is the Si which is approx. 200lbs lighter than a stock MT P10 non-t (my G weighed just over 2800lbs. stock with all fluids topped). I've stripped a little bit of weight which surprisingly makes a big difference in launchs, turns, and clutch load. This weekend I'm gonna holesaw some stuff.

BTW my old 91 AT would stay ahead of a Civic EX MT all day everyday. I used to powerbrake around 2500 and it was no problem. At idle, yeah it would probably beat you.

There is actually another place in AF for street racing stories where others have been moved in the past.
Personally, I don't think street racers should be shy. I think they should be downright ashamed.

Whoever say the G20 shouldn't be raced is just plain out of it.
Just ask Luke and see what he says. BTW I'm talking about track racing, not 1/4. If you want to go fast in a line get a Mustank or something.

Ok, here's mine, well actually its two.
1: It was about 11 pm on a Friday night, about 65 degrees F out. I pull up next to my friend Eric (This wasn't planned), he has a 97 Civic EX coupe with an exhaust, CAI, and headers (yeah it has a 5 speed), me I have a 94 G20 with 5 speed K&N, and a high flow exhaust. Actually, I didn't have the K&N at the time, just a cheap Deutsch air filter. We are lined up on a two way high way (concrete, if that is important), at a red light and no one is around, 11 pm is pretty late in my town. So the light turns green, I drop the clutch at about 3300 RPM, throw up a little smoke, and Eric does the same thing. I get a car length ahead of him right from the get go, and up to the max speed of this race (aproximatly 70 MPH) I had opened it up to about 4 car lengths. 2: Indianapolis Raceway Park, 8 pm 70 degrees. Me versus bone stock 85 300ZX, owned by my friend Burt. Tree lights up, I have a shitty reaction time of 1.249, his was .712. So here's the data: (for the purpose of this, my numbers will come first) 60 foot: 2.520, 2.546 330 foot: 7.185, 7.218 1/8 mile: 11.039, 11.291 @ 63.39, 58.80 1000 foot: 14.384, 14.857 1/4 mile: 17.206, 17.854 @ 78.95, 74.93. I had a really shitty launch, accidently dropped the clutch at 5000RPM, and just sat there and spun and spun and spun, his launch was OK. I'm still waiting for a rematch.

I havn't lost to much at the track. The only honda's that beat me are Supercharged, turbocharged, or a big motor swap (B18, B20, H22, etc..) I have beaten cars with B16 swaps. Even some on nitrous (stock motor w/ nos, not a swap and nos). I've beaten turbo eclipses, Jetta VR6's, Mustang Gt's, etc... And I'm not a good drag racer either. I don't have enough practice, my 60ft times suck!
On a road course I have a feeling I'd do even better, as that is really what my car is set up for. With a good driver I feel a pretty well prepped G20 would be able to hang with some much faster cars, due to the handling, and braking (with good pads of course). Practice, Practice, Practice......
