96 1.3 liter metro problem

Ok...I got a 96 metro ls. The car was running fine then my mother got the car hot one day when the fan motor went out. She got another car and I got the car from her for a knock about car. After a new fan the car seemed to run fine. I drove it around for a couple weeks and it ran fine. Well I took a little trip to dallas from my house in austin ,and the car started bogging from a dead stop. It would take off REALLY slow ,and when it would get above 2500 rpms it seemed like it would take off again with normal power. It kept doing this on the trip. The next day the car would not start. It would seem to try for a sec but acted like it was bogging at idle(like flooding or something) The car has spark and the injector is wetting the butterfly on the thottle body. I don't know anything about geos ,and to tell u the truth I don't want to know..lol. The car threw these codes-po118,p0455,po440,p1410(or pi410) It seems to be egr crap. I don't think this would make the car not run. Now I will say that I am used to driving a modded camaro everywhere so while driving the geo I would tend to rev it high trough first gear to keep up with traffic. Could this have streched the timing belt. The car only has 57,000 miles on it. I don't know what the deal is with this thing. I just want to get it runing good so I can sell the car.

Ohh...And I changed the plugs. The old ones looked gas fouled pretty bad. This of course did not fix anything.

Sure that wasn't antifreeze? I bet ya got a blown headgasket, or maybe a dead cylinder. I had a 3cyl that burnt the #2 cylinder exhaust valve that behaved the same way. Chugged until the rpm's got up, then it was fine. Do a compression check, and se if there's any oil in your coolant. Or if there's white smoke coming from your exhaust. You can also leave the rad cap open when you start the car. See if there are bubbles coming into the radaitor. That's a tell-tale sign of a blown headgasket.
