Question looking for best springs & shocks

Hey everyone got my tax returns so i'm dropping this thing..i was interested in the best springs and shocks for an 04EX i do not want coilovers! i was looking at the tein springs with tokiko shocks. i want to go as low as 2 inches. i think the tein are 1.3 front 1.5 back which is ok..are these a good combination for a stiff suspention? and how much will this run in price i am not sure if its per shock and spring or for the set with the prices i saw ...ALSO how low can i go before i need a correction kit ???
:: thanks all ::

Re: looking for best springs & shocks

I don't know if it's any different with the 7th gens because of the new suspension. But on all other gens, you can lower about 1.75" before needing a camber kit. My recommendation would be Koni Yellows and H&R OE or Sport springs.

Heya, I'm note an EX expert but I have the Teins on stock shocks in my 02 Si (which I hear are the same springs). I'm getting older and didn't want a rough ride, so I went with these, which are a conservative drop. I love them, and Tein appears to be a good company. To really get good advice you should try a search tho.

Re: looking for best springs & shocks

Get the TEIN SS full coil-over kit. A bit pricey but worth the money.

You want the best, but don't want to spend a lot? Good luck

Best "normal" strut Koni yellow
Springs - H&R, Neuspeed, Eibach

Tokico & KYB are stock lenght struts not designed for 2" drops.

Stay above 2" drop for ride quality unless you spend the money for real coilovers.

You should be able to find prices on the various websites that sell suspension products. www.GOOGLE.com www.tirerack.com www.modacar.com

keep in mind beastiek2 that tein SS coilovers are what 800 bucks? and you dont need shocks. springs are like 2-300, shocks like 3-400. you would only be spending a littole more for getting the coilovers and you get unbelievable suspension...not just drop springs. i kind of wish i went the coilover route.

H&R or Bilstien, both are the best in the world.

Ow yeah, if you want something cheaper...also try looking into the TEIN Basic. Similar to SS and cheaper.
