Suspension Interchangeability
I'm going to be buying a set of lower arms, spindle/hubs, and upper arms from a DX hatch so finish replacing the suspension parts on my 91 EX to hopefully figure out the suspension problem. Will all these part fit on with no problem?

Re: Suspension Interchangeability
you have a 4d EX, and you are changing the front spindles on it with ones from a DX? you do realize that the front suspension on the EX has bigger brakes than the DX right? and that you will be downgrading.....
it will all bolt on fine, but i wouldnt recommend using the DX knuckles

Re: Suspension Interchangeability
90-91 EX spindles are quite a valuable commodity
you can not replace the 9.5" DX brakes with the Integra-sized 10.3" EX brakes (otherwise everyone would do it) you can use DA knuckles but the alignment will be off really your only proper option is to source another set of 90-91 EX knuckles ... the JDM SiR knuckles are close but you have to shorten and rethread the tie-rods if im not mistaken.. the DA knuckles are the wrong geometry... the DX/Si knuckles have smaller brakes... the STD/HF knuckles have smaller brakes and the wrong # of splines on the axles... |
