Well i know that the 0-60 time for a 6-speed ls1 is around 5.3 so i am gussing the auto time would be no more than 5.7 or so. On 1/4 mile times.....well i know that 6-speed LS1 runs anywhere near from 13 to 13.5 but i am sure auto isn't much more. Hope this helps

It all depends on how you drive your car, depends on the transmission type and mods.

actually the automatic is quicker than the standard shift. so the 0- 60 time is quicker than 6 speed and it will be quicker in the the quarter mile too

Im going with Z06 on this one. The automatic while having higher gears (3.23 compared to the 6 speeds 3.42), the automatic has a WAY better 1st gear ratio, and just going to 60 you only really need 1st gear, sometimes second depending on how hard you wanna run your car(for automatics anyway). I have the 4 speed automatic in my car and my 1/4 time was 13.6 at around 105 mph(dunno exact number) BUT that was in Mississippi in 95 degree weather with 97% humidity which are very undesireable track conditions. As far as I have seen, there is a wide range of 0-60 times, but the ones I see most often have the
A4 0-60 at 5.3 and the M6 0-60 at 5.5. Hope this helps

Rob

Hell ya. Changing the gear is one of the most cost effective ways to make your car VERY noticeably faster. With the programmer ontop of that a low 13 maybe even a high 12 on a good day will be obtainable. Im guessin that your TA isnt a WS6 if it came with 273 gears (my comment above about A4s having 3.23 and M6 having 3.42 was assumin it was a Ws6) What year is your car? With the programmer i would expect around a 15 HP and Ft/lb of torque gain, and with the lower gear, I think your gonna be able to get in a low 13 all day long.

Re: ls1 Trans Am Automatic 1/4 mile time?

its 98 first of the ls1 in the fboides and no its not the ws6 but i opened up my air intake to perform like one. I think the 98 was the only year to come stock with the 2.73 in the automatic. I feel a tremendous difference now with the 3.73 its awesome. However, my mechanic told me that i have a broken trans mount...which isnt too big of a deal but does anyone know if that is the reason why my car is jumpin when it changes gears? and when i put it into drive

Dude..calm down and back off. Sheeesh. Chill out. So your LT4 has 458hp....

1/4 mile times for stock LS1s A4s. 13.5-13.9@102-105 depending on many things. Final Drive ratio, track conditions, launch, weather, etc. I have seen 2 bone stock(paper air filter and all) with 3.23 gears run 13.5@104/105. Both at San Antonio Raceway off of I-10 east of San An.

0-60 I think was in the 5.3-5.5 ranges....about the same if not a little quicker then a 6 speed(depending on drivers of both cars and their launches).
