Vibrating Car in Certain Powerband
When in the powerband of 1750-2000 rpm, and usually only in 4th gear(auto tranny), with my foot on the gas just maintaining a constant speed, not accelerating, my 95 Accord EX starts vibrating. The whole car starts shaking. As soon as I let my foot off the gas, though, the vibration goes away instantly. I have talked to my mechanic and he's about 20-30% sure its an axle problem but I don't want to spend $300 and find out its not the axles. Has anyone else had this problem? Help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Vibrating Car in Certain Powerband
I Have exactly the same problem with my 1990 Accord. It happens from 1500 - 2000 RPMs, I have replaced the spark plugs and it didn't help at all. I have my mechanic and my father scratching their heads. PLEASE HELP!

Re: Vibrating Car in Certain Powerband
I have a similar problem, my 94 honda accord will shake on the highway between 45-75 mph, above that it gets smoother...weird...

Re: Vibrating Car in Certain Powerband
Well, funky, apart from the fact that you woke up a dead thread (NOT a good idea) your topic doesn't directly match the subject.
My best guess is wheel balance and/or bad shocks, because you only relate the problem to SPEED, not RPMs |
