My '95 LeSabre with 50k miles on runs perfectly, but when I'm at 75-85 mph the dashboard and steering wheel vibrates and shakes. Not violently, mind you, but it is very noticable. It only does this at 75-85 mph speed range; if I go faster or slower it goes smooth again.
Any Ideas? Thanks, Bipra |

Re: 1995 LeSabre vibrates at certain speeds
Tire balance or out of round tire. Have you ever put puncture seal in any of the tires, if so you need to take the tire off of the rim and clean out the crap on the inside.

Have the tires been rotated regularly (less than 10000 miles and regularly)? Tires on the back tend to wear unevenly. Then if put on the front after being on the back for a long time that uneveness causes shaking--it's essentially out-of-round. Your tires may just be out of balance. And you could have a tire whose belt has shifted causing an out-of-roundness as it rolls. It's also dangerous. BUT if you don't feel anything on a smooth street at 25-40 you probably don't have a shifted belt and your tire is probably round. Have them checked and balanced. |
