What does 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton mean?
What do the terms "1/2 ton pickup", "3/4 ton pickup", and "1 ton pickup" mean?

I believe it's the carrying capacity. Although, in my 1/2 ton, if I put anymore then 500lbs in the bed, I lose about 2" in the wheel well clearance! lol

It is how much the axles can handle. I does also relate to the weight that the suspension can handle as well.
