airbag question
would i be able to fit another airbag in my accord, like say from a prelude or a civic. Are they compatible at all, or do i have to get accord airbags. It looks like the steering wheel airbag is the same as the prelude ones, but i dont know. Any help would be appreciated.

my friend works at an autobody shop, and he says that airbags cost at least a thousand bucks per airbag to replace if you have it done at a shop. i dont know if you can even do them yourself or not. as far as what kind of airbags fit, i would stick to the accord ones for safety reasons. but maybe ones out of a civic are the same, i wouldnt think they would be, but im not entirely sure.

There are assholes out there that go around breaking into cars just to steal the airbags. They then sell these as used airbags to consumers and shaddy body shops for less than if they were purchased from the factory. Be careful when replacing your airbag, make sure you get a brand new one from the factory. If I'm not mistaken, I think each car has an airbag specifically designed for that model.
But I'd be willing to bet that the airbags from the 6th gen. accord are identical to the ones in the new acura cl. |
