ummmm.. are you sure you want to be messing with your car.. no offense or anything it just sounds like you dont have any auto experiance.... a cold air intake isnt really gonna make you faster but it will make you sound faster..as far as a turbo there is alot that goes with that not just putting on a turbo

Re: A newbie question. PLZ HELP!!!

an intake gives you a deeper ,throatier sound..especialy when accelerating hard. it does give you more power but were talking under 5 hp when used by itself. if you want to get one, go for it but i would reccomend the AEM CAI for that vehicle of course

Re: A newbie question. PLZ HELP!!!

AEM pioneered the Cold Air induction system for sport compact cars. Our air induction systems create more power than any other systems of their kind. AEM original Cold Air and most Version2 (V2) induction systems relocate the filter outside of the engine compartment for a cooler intake charge, and our Short Ram systems are an economical underhood alternative to our Cold Air systems. We have found that inlet length plays a vital role in the power production of V2 systems and not all V2 induction systems relocate the filter outside of the engine compartment. In these cases, extensive temperature testing was performed to locate the filter in the coolest area of the engine compartment to achieve the lowest inlet temperatures possible (please see our temperature testing procedures on our application page).

Re: A newbie question. PLZ HELP!!!

i think the V2 is a waste of money myself, you dont feel any difference between the V2 and the standard CAI and the price range is alot diff between the two. The V2 is almost double the standard and ive drivin on both on 2 diff cars and its the same pretty much. So save your money unless your going balls out then get the V2
