Wiper/Fuse Problems

The wipers on my Jetta won't work so I checked the fuse and sure enough it was blown. I replaced it and right away it blew again. Any idea what could lead to fuse being blown right away?

Re: Wiper/Fuse Problems

It would help to know what year/model etc...However, try unplugging the wiper motor itself, and then popping another fuse in. If it doesn't blow this time, your wiper motor is bad. That is most likely the culprit. If not, you have a dead short to ground along your feed wire somewhere.
