EEC-IV Part # ???

EEC-IV Part #
I'm having a problem trying to find info on the EEC-IV I just bought! Here's whats on the sticker!

EEC-IV SMD-212A W4HO
F4VF-12A650-BA
64DH212B32 9683 -79 4B0B



If someone could tell how to find the info I'll gladly do it my self!

I just looked though my books and it had nothing about decoding any of that, although it did give great explanations on how the EEC works.

Only thing I can tell you is that the EEC-IV was first introduced in 83 on 2.3L turbo motors and 1.6L inline 4's. 84 was when the EEC-IV made it's way into V8 Mustangs.

From looking at that code, it looks like it might be a H.O computer.

I think that's a Ford engineering number and not a Ford part number.

All I know is that is what is on the label right where you plug it in to the wiring harness!!

Perhaps it is the part number and/or revision of the program within the prom
